Steel Coil Export Packing Guide for Overseas Buyers

Steel coil export packing is important for long-distance transportation. During sea shipment, products may face moisture, rust risk, handling impact and edge damage. Proper packing helps protect product quality until arrival.

Common packing includes waterproof paper, plastic film, steel sheet protection, steel straps, edge protection, inner and outer rings, pallets and reinforced outer packaging. The exact packing method depends on product type and customer requirements.

Color coated coils need extra surface protection because scratches may affect appearance. Galvanized coils require moisture protection to reduce rust risk. Hot rolled and cold rolled coils also need secure fixing for loading and unloading.

Overseas buyers should confirm packing details before placing orders, especially when goods are shipped by container or bulk vessel.
